The SRA-33AI is an anti-infantry rifle with the intent purpose of inflicting as much damage to the target as posssible. Unlike it's counter-part, the SRA-33, the anti-infantry model works on only two selective fire;semi-automatic and three round burst. Also unlike the '33 model, this model cannot be heavily modified but can be modified to enhance target range and can work to great effect by attaching a sound suppressor at the end for effective use in covert situations.
The weapon can be seen used by most infantry units of Security Operations but is not as heavily favored as it's '33 sibling. This is mainly due to the fact that it has been proven to be something of a futile gesture when using a weapon with only a three burst round selective fire. The Na'vi have developed tactics that rudimentary avoid the line of sight of this weapon and thus the user. However, the most proficient user of this weapon can easily hit a Na'vi target or that of animals with ease.
In terms of ammunition type, the weapon can be used as a sort of makeshift dragon's breath air-burst weapon. This change in the weapon was once seen during the War of Pandora in 2154 to hold the Na'vi back from breaking the line of defense when slowly pushing towards the Tree of Souls.
