The '''Asgari Rifle''' is the newest state-of-the-art weapon allocated from a private weapons manufacture in the Korean Republics in the service of the [[Resources Development Administration]]. Recently bought out shortly after [[Timeline|2154]], the RDA needed a weapon that would be possible in replacing the older MER-L1 railgun system.

The weapon is perhaps most unique as it utilizes gases that becomes excited, creating a high-voltage electricity to such a degree that it propels the projectile down the chamber where the electricty guides the projectile along thin magnetic railings built within the barrel of the rifle. When the projectile finally escapes the muzzle, a blue hazzle hue of electricity erupts forth, allowing the projectile to gain such a high speed velocity that ultimately could pierce five inches of reinforced iron and metal armor.

Unlike it's [[MER-L1|electro-magnetic rail gun]] counterpart where it utilizes electrical components and magnetic railings to guide it's projectile, the Asgari Rifle is not regarded or technically percieved as a rail gun. Instead, depending soley on a charged pack fitted beneath the hand grip, each bullet contains the volatile chemical propellant when mixed with the gas filtered in from the rear stock magazine, allows for the bullet to be throttled at extreme velocities but never at the speeds found within a rail gun. The rifle also utilizes moving parts such as the breach and bolt to enable access for cleaning utensils and inserting bullets into the chamber.
